List of Off-Road Paths identified in the Bicycle and Pedestrian Action Plan

 

The following list of facilities would variously require agreements from the North Carolina Department of Transportation, the University of North Carolina and private property owners.

15- 501 South Fordham Boulevard by-pass from Old Mason Farm Rd to Prestwick Rd through UNC property.

Crossing needed of15- 501 South Fordham Boulevard by-pass.

Merritt Mill Rd to west end of McCauley Street. Facilitate access to campus.

 

UNC & Private

Access needed through housing development and possibly through SW corner UNC co-generation plant. Facilitate access to campus.

Fordham Blvd (north) from rear of Binkley Baptist Church to Estes Dr.

NCDOT & Private

Possibly require as stipulation to any rehabilitation of University Mall. Part of a north south facility providing access to University Mall.

 

Christopher Rd extend a path from the northern end or road to S. Estes Dr.

US 15-501 South Fordham Boulevard from Meadow Lane to Morgan Creek Greenway.

Continue route around western perimeter of Merritt Mill pasture to connect with Morgan Creek Greenway.

NC54 Finley Golf Course Rd to Hamilton Rd (south side).

NCDOT & Private

Extend existing path as part of any redevelopment of University Inn property.

 

From Broad Street (Carrboro) to Tanyard Branch greenway.

 

Private

Consider as a possible addition to Town Greenways Master Plan.
