SUBJECT:       Recommendation of a Budget Review Consultant

 

DATE:             January 10, 2005

 

 

The Council Committee to recommend a budget review consultant met on Monday afternoon, January 10, 2005, to review possible firms.  The Committee may be ready to make a recommendation this evening.  If so, the Council would adopt the following resolution to authorize the Manager to negotiate and execute an agreement.

 


A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR BUDGET REVIEW CONSULTING SERIVCES (2005-01-10/R-19)

 

WHEREAS, the Council desires to engage a management consultant to review Town service levels, efficiency, and costs in order to make recommendations for improvements; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council has received the Council Committee report on the Requests for Proposals for budget review services;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council hereby authorizes the Manager to negotiate and execute an agreement with _________________ for a sum not to exceed ____________.
