SUBJECT:       Concept Plan:  200 Finley Golf Course Road     

DATE:             January 19, 2005

Tonight the Council considers a Concept Plan for a proposal by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to construct an administrative office for university use.

The proposal includes demolishing an existing building, previously occupied by the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity, and constructing a 16,215 square foot building with 43 parking spaces. The proposed development is located at 200 Finley Golf Course Road, at the intersection of Prestwick Road. In accordance with the Land Use Management Ordinance, there has been no staff review of this Concept Plan.

We recommend that the Council review this Concept Plan, receive comments from the Community Design Commission and citizens, and adopt a resolution transmitting comments to the applicant.
