SUBJECT:    Recommendation for Vacant Planning Board Seat

DATE             May 4, 2005

On May 3, 2005 the Planning Board reviewed candidate applications for the Planning Board.  After discussion the Planning Board voted unanimously to recommend reappointment of Tim Dempsey and appointment of George Cianciolo to the vacant seats.

The Board felt that George’s experience on the Transportation Board would bring a much needed capability to the Planning Board.  Transportation is a mind-set that is becoming more and more important to Planning decisions and the expertise on the Board is lacking.
