SUBJECT:        Recommendation to the Orange County Board of Commissioners for Appointment of One Chapel Hill Representative to the Orange County Animal Services Advisory Board

 

DATE:              June 15, 2005

 

 

We have been notified by the Orange County Clerk that the Orange County Board of Commissioner has created a new board called the Animal Services Advisory Board.  The municipalities of Carrboro, Chapel Hill and Hillsborough are being asked to recommend one citizen per municipality to server as its representative (see attached).

 

We recommend that the Council adopt the attached resolution.

 

A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING A CHAPEL HILL REPRESENTATIVE TO FILL A SEAT ON THE ORANGE COUNTY ANIMAL SERVICES ADVISORY BOARD (2005-06-15/R-21)

 

WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of Commissioners has requested that the Town Council fill a Chapel Hill seat on the Orange County Animal Services Advisory Board; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council has voted to select a representative;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council recommends that                                                                                      be appointed by the Orange County Board of Commissioners to serve as the Chapel Hill representative on the Orange County Animal Services Advisory Board.
