SUBJECT:      Amendments to Council Calendar

DATE:            September 26, 2005

The purpose of this memorandum is to recommend that the Council amend its meeting calendar as follows:

1) Add a Council Planning Session on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 beginning at 3:00 p.m. to discuss planning issues.

2) Reschedule the first meeting in November from Monday, November 7 to Wednesday, November 9, 2005, so that the Council would not meet on the night before the municipal election.

Adoption of the attached resolution would amend the Council’s calendar to reflect the meetings.

A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE COUNCIL’S 2005-2006 MEETING CALENDAR (2005-09-26/R-3)

BE IT RESOLVED by the Council for the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council hereby amends its 2005-2006 meeting calendar as follows:

The following meeting is deleted:

Wednesday, November 7, 2005, 7:00 p.m., Town Hall

The following meetings are added:

Wednesday, November 9, 2005, 7:00 p.m., Town Hall

Wednesday, October 12, 2005, 3:00 p.m., Chapel Hill Public Library
