A RESOLUTION REFERRING TO THE HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION FOR RECOMMENDATION A PROPOSAL TO ESTABLISH A PRESERVATION EASEMENT ON TOWN PROPERTY AT EAST FRANKLIN AND BOUNDARY STREETS (2005-10-10/R-11)

A RESOLUTION REFERRING TO THE HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION FOR RECOMMENDATION A PROPOSAL TO ESTABLISH A PRESERVATION EASEMENT ON TOWN PROPERTY AT EAST FRANKLIN AND BOUNDARY STREETS (2005-10-10/R-11)

WHEREAS, a petition has been presented proposing the establishment of a historic preservation agreement on the site of the old Town library at East Franklin and Boundary Streets; and

WHEREAS, prior to considering the petition, the Council would like to hear the comments of the Town’s Historic District Commission;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council refers the petition and the Town Manager’s report of October 10, 2005, to the Historic District Commission for its evaluation and a recommendation.
