A RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR A Mid-Mount Aerial Tower Apparatus TO KME APPARATUS, INC. (2005-10-10/R-4)

WHEREAS, the Town of Chapel Hill solicited formal bids by legal notice in The Chapel Hill News on Sunday, July 24, 2005, in accordance with G.S. 143-129 for the purchase of mid-mount aerial tower apparatus; and

WHEREAS, the low, responsive bid was submitted by KME Fire Apparatus, Inc. at the bid price of $852,059; and

WHEREAS, the representative of KME Fire Apparatus and Fire Department staff negotiated a price reduction of $42,055;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council awards the bid for a mid-mount aerial tower apparatus to KME Fire Apparatus, Inc. in the amount of $810,004.
