A RESOLUTION ASKING THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES AND THE U.S. CONFERENCE OF MAYORS TO STUDY AND CONSIDER SUPPORTING THE PLAINTIFFS IN FRIENDS OF THE EARTH, INC., ET. AL, V. WATSON ET. AL, 3: 02-CV-04106 (U.S.D.C., N.D. CA) (2005-10-10-R-8)

BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council authorizes the Mayor to forward to the National League of Cities and the U.S. Conference of Mayors a request on behalf of the Council for those organizations to study and evaluate the case of Friends of the Earth, Inc., et. al, v. Watson, et. al, 3: 02-cv-04106 (U.S.D.C., N.D.CA) and consider lending their support to the Plaintiffs in the case who are seeking compliance by U.S. development projects overseas with U.S. Environmental Protection regulations and laws.
