SUBJECT: Rescheduling Public Forum on Sidewalk and Bicycle Facilities Plan

The adoption of the attached resolution would reschedule the Public Forum on the Sidewalk and Bicycle Facilities Plan.
On October 10, 2005, the Council scheduled a Public Forum for November 14, 2005.
DISCUSSION
We recommend that the Public Forum be rescheduled for November 21, 2005, to allow the Council adequate time to consider other items scheduled for hearing on November 14, 2005. We do not believe the delay in holding the Public Forum will adversely impact the Council’s ability to receive comments from the public and Town Advisory Boards.
RECOMMENDATION
Manager’s Recommendation: The Council adopt the attached resolution rescheduling the Sidewalk and Bicycle Facilities Plan Public Forum to November 21, 2005.
A RESOLUTION RESCHEDULING THE SIDEWALK AND BICYCLE CONSTRUCTION PLAN PUBLIC FORUM FROM NOVEMBER 14, 2005 TO NOVEMBER 21, 2005 (2005-10-24/R-5)
WHEREAS; the Chapel Hill Town Council scheduled a Sidewalk and Bicycle Construction Plan Public Forum for November 14, 2005; and
WHEREAS; it is necessary to reschedule the Public Forum to November 21, 2005;
NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Sidewalk and Bicycle Construction Plan Public Forum be scheduled for November 21, 2005.
