Subject: Formation of New Orange County Committee
Hi All,
Orange County in conjunction with the Towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro has created a committee called the Air Quality Advisory Committee or AQAC. Air Quality Advisory Committee or AQAC is specific to a project called the "Orange County-Chapel Hill-Carrboro Joint Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction and Action Plan.
The committee will meet 4-5 times, averaging about once per month between November and March, to work as a steering committee to review data that has been gathered by Orange County Environmental Conservation staff and consultants, identifying emissions reduction targets and developing an action plan.
Membership to this Committee will be as follows:
