SUBJECT: Public Hearing: Bradley Green Subdivision – Application for Preliminary Plat Approval (File No. 7.17..21)

Tonight, the Council continues the Bradley Green Public Hearing from October 19, 2005, regarding a Preliminary Plat application to authorize the subdivision of 7.0 acres into eight residential lots. We recommend that the Council adopt the attached resolution , continuing the Bradley Green Preliminary Plat Application to the January 9, 2006 meeting.
BACKGROUND
On October 19, 2005, the Council held a Public Hearing on the Bradley Green Preliminary Plat Application. The proposed development, located north of Ginger Road and east of Sunrise Road, proposed eight residential lots on a 7.0 acre site. The Public Hearing was continued to November 21, 2005.
In response to Council comments from the October 19, 2005 Public Hearing, the applicant has been in discussions with Town staff and Habitat for Humanity officials. The applicant has been working to reach an understanding with the Town staff regarding an affordable housing payment-in-lieu.
Regarding the applicant’s proposals to the Bradley Green Preliminary Plat, we believe that Council consideration of the project should be continued to the January 9, 2006 Council meeting.
RECOMMENDATION
We recommend that the Council adopt the attached resolution, continuing the Bradley Green Preliminary Plat Public Hearing to the January 9, 2006 Council Meeting.
