The attached resolution would continue the Public Hearing on the Meadowmont Affordable Housing application for a Special Use Permit until January 24, 2000.
The Council has been considering an application for a Special Use Permit for a multi-family residential development including 32 townhomes on a 2.76 acre site in Meadowmont. A Public Hearing was held on this application on November 15, 1999. The applicant has requested additional time in order to address several issues raised by the Council at the Public Hearing, and to prepare revised plans for the Council’s consideration.
RECOMMENDATION
We recommend that the Public Hearing be continued until January 24, 2000, in order to accommodate the applicant’s response to issues raised at the Public Hearing and the submittal of revised plans.
The attached resolution would continue the Public Hearing on this application.
A RESOLUTION CONTINUING THE PUBLIC HEARING ON THE MEADOWMONT AFFORDABLE HOUSING APPLICATION FOR A SPECIAL USE PERMIT (2000-01-10/R-23)
WHEREAS, the Town Council opened a public hearing on November 15, 1999, on an application for a Special Use Permit related to the Meadowmont Affordable Townhomes, and recessed the Hearing to January 10, 2000 and
WHEREAS, the applicant has requested additional time to prepare a revised application;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council continues the Public Hearing, to be reconvened at 7:00 PM on January 24, 2000, in the Chapel Hill Town Council Chamber.
