SUBJECT:       Funding Transfer for Red Cross Pledge

BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION

 

At the February 14, 2000 meeting, the Council approved a pledge of $5,000 to the Orange County Chapter of the American Red Cross.  Because all of the Council’s original contingency account has been used this year, the attached budget ordinance would appropriate $15,000 from fund balance to replenish this account, and allocate $5,000 of this amount for the American Red Cross project.

 

RECOMMENDATION

 

Manager’s Recommendation: That the Council adopt the attached budget amendment.

 

 


 

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND “THE ORDINANCE CONCERNING APPROPRIATIONS AND THE RAISING OF REVENUE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1999 (2000-02-28/O-4)

 

BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Budget Ordinance entitled “An Ordinance Concerning Appropriations and the Raising of Revenue for the Fiscal Year Beginning July 1, 1999” as duly adopted on June 14, 1999, be and the same is hereby amended as follows:
