SUBJECT: Amendment of Town Council Budget

DATE: April 24, 2000

The attached ordinance would transfer $3,500 from the Council’s contingency fund to the Council’s budget to provide for business meetings and associated travel costs.

During the current budget year, expenses for conference attendance were higher than expected. The proposed amendment would increase the allocation for Business Meetings and Training Expense from $15,550 to $19,050.

We believe that this adjustment would be sufficient to cover travel costs for the remainder of this fiscal year.

We recommend that the Council adopt the attached budget ordinance.
