SUBJECT: Nominations to the Chapel Hill Public Arts Commission, the Historic District Commission, the Library Board of Trustees, the Transportation Board, and Additional Nominations to the Planning Board

DATE: May 8, 2000

This evening, the Council may make nominations to three seats on the Chapel Hill Public Arts Commission, three seats on the Historic District Commission, three seats on the Library Board of Trustees, three seats on the Transportation Board, and additional nominations for one seat on the Planning Board for terms of office having an expiration date of June 30, 2000.

The attached resolution R-3 would nominate applicants to these boards. Appointments are scheduled for May 22, 2000, for the Chapel Hill Public Arts Commission, the Historic District Commission, the Library Board of Trustees, and the Transportation Board. Appointment to the vacancy on the Planning Board has been deferred until June 12^th to allow the Planning Board an opportunity to review the applications and forward a recommendation to the Council.

A RESOLUTION NOMINATING APPLICANTS TO VARIOUS ADVISORY BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS (2000-05-08/R-2.1)

WHEREAS, the applications for service on an advisory board or commission or other committees listed below have been received; and

WHEREAS, the applicants have been determined by the Town Clerk to be eligible to serve;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the following names are placed in nomination to serve on an advisory board or commission:
