SUBJECT: Fee Comparisons
DATE: May 9, 2000
We have proposed a draft new fee schedule to the Town Council, proposing to raise application fees for major new developments. The proposed fee schedule is currently under consideration by the Council as part of a draft 2000-01 budget.
A Council member asked me for information about the application fees paid by specific recent development proposals, and what the fees for those applications would have been if the proposed fee schedule had been in place. I offer the response below.
Please note that these development applications came in at different times, some of them years ago. The fee schedule has been modified somewhat over the years. Therefore I offer three columns describing fees: (1) What was paid; (2) What the application fee would be if that development application came in today, under today’s fee schedule; and (3) What the application fee would be if that development application came in under the proposed fee schedule.
