SUBJECT: Acceptance and Referral of the Pritchard Park Conceptual Plan Committee’s Report

The attached resolution would accept the “Report of the Pritchard Park Conceptual Plan Committee” and refer the Report to the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board, Chapel Hill Public Arts Commission, Community Design Commission, Greenways Commission, Library Board, Parks and Recreation Commission, Planning Board, and the Manager for comments and recommendations.
The Town Council formed the Pritchard Park Conceptual Plan Committee in 1999. The Committee representatives include at-large citizens (4), members of the Parks and Recreation Commission (2), members of the Greenways Commission (1), members of the Public Arts Commission (1), and members of the Library Board of Trustees (2).
The Committee met regularly from November 1999 through mid-summer 2000. A Public Forum was held on June 19, 2000 at the Chapel Hill Public Library. More than 25 persons attended.
Manager’s Recommendation: That the Council adopt the following resolution accepting the “Report of the Pritchard Park Conceptual Plan Committee” and referring the Report to the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board, Chapel Hill Public Arts Commission, Community Design Commission, Greenways Commission, Library Board, Parks and Recreation Commission, Planning Board, and the Manager for comments and recommendations.
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND REFERRING THE “REPORT OF THE PRITCHARD PARK CONCEPTUAL PLAN COMMITTEE” AND EXPRESSING THANKS TO THE COMMITTEE (2000-09-25/R-7))
WHEREAS, the Council created the Pritchard Park Conceptual Plan Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Pritchard Park Conceptual Plan Committee has completed and presented its Report; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council expresses its gratitude to the members of the Pritchard Park Conceptual Committee for their hard work and service to our community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council accepts the “Report of the Pritchard Park Conceptual Plan Committee” and refers the Report to the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board, the Chapel Hill Public Arts Commission, the Community Design Commission, the Greenways Commission, the Library Board of Trustees, the Parks and Recreation Commission, the Planning Board, and the Manager for comments and recommendations.
