[1] Recruitment for this position began soon after it became vacant; the candidate who was offered the position was not able to report as scheduled. Work of the position was performed by contract employees until it was filled.
[2] This position is not funded now, but is recommended to be funded in 2001-2002 from the Capital Improvements Program. The employee would oversee Town construction projects.
[3] In the first year of the implementation of curbside refuse collection 4 positions were to be eliminated through attrition, so they were not filled as they became vacant and will be eliminated from the pay plan. In the second year of implementation 5 additional positions (total of 9 over two years) are to be eliminated through attrition. The two current vacancies will help to meet the need to cut 5 positions during the coming fiscal year.
[4] We apologize that this position vacancy was inadvertently left off the previous vacancy listing.
