SUBJECT:            Increases Recommended for State Employees

At the May 30^th budget work session a Council member asked for information on proposed pay increases for State of North Carolina employees.

 

The Legislature is still in session so no decision on pay has been made at this time.  However, the budget bill adopted by the Senate contains money for a 2.86%  raise for teachers and a flat $625 increase for general State employees.
