SUBJECT:       Petition Requesting Change in October 1, 2001 Tentative Schedule to Vote on the University’s Development Plan

DATE:             August 27, 2001

I request that the Council change the date on which we are tentatively scheduled to vote on the University’s Development Plan.  The tentative date is October 1.

Gary and I have to go to a family wedding that weekend in Northern California and cannot return until late in the day on October 1.  Given the vagaries of the flight schedules, I cannot guarantee that I’ll be back in time for a 7 pm meeting.

I suggest that we tentatively reschedule this vote for October 10.
