SUBJECT:       Council Representative on the Orange Community Housing Land Trust Board

The attached letter from Orange Community Housing and Land Trust requests that the Council appoint a representative to serve on the OCHLT.

 

The Orange Community Housing and the Community Land Trust merged effective July 2, 2001, one board of directors was created which will serve as an organizing board until the Annual Meeting in the spring of 2002, at which time a new board will be elected or appointed.

 

Council Member Flicka Bateman is a member of the organizing board, and the OCHLT has requested that she serve as the Chapel Hill representative until the Annual Meeting.  At that time, the OCHLT has indicated it will request that Council Member Bateman or another member of the Council be selected to serve.

 

We recommend that the Council adopt the attached resolution appointing Council Member Bateman to the organizing board of the OCHLT.

A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A REPRESENTATIVE TO THE ORANGE COMMUNITY HOUSING LAND TRUST ORGANIZING BOARD (2001-09-24/R-14)

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council appoints Council Member Flicka Bateman to serve as the Town’s representative on the Orange Community Housing Land Trust Organizing Board until its Annual Meeting in the spring of 2002.
