SUBJECT: Response to a Request for a “ No Dumping Sign” at the Pine Knolls Community Center
In September 10, 2001, Ms. Virginia Barbee petitioned the Town Council to do something about trash being dumped near the Pine Knolls Community Center at 107 Johnson Street and to install a "No Dumping" sign there. Subsequently Town staff visited the site, but did not find any trash there. Material originally dumped at the end of the street near the Community Center was removed, apparently by private parties.
The Inspections Department has arranged for installation of a sign as requested, and will continue to work to eliminate the dumping.
