RE:                   Television Broadcast of Budget Work Sessions

I propose that the Town Council televise our budget work sessions this year.  It is my understanding that the Town televised the budget work sessions up until a few years ago.

Budget appropriations, and the resulting tax implications, are important for our citizens to understand.  Televising the work sessions will give Town residents an opportunity to follow the budget process and will improve their ability to provide important input to the Town Council during the public hearings on the budget later this spring.  I would further suggest that the sessions not necessarily be broadcast live, but be run at a time later in the evening when people are home from work.
