SUBJECT: Presentation of Governor’s Crime Commission Award to Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce

The Governor’s Crime Commission has notified us that the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce is the recipient of a 2001 Annual Crime Prevention Award. The Chapel Hill Police Department nominated the Chamber for the award.
Mr. Donn Hargrove, Assistant Secretary of the Department of Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention, will attend tonight’s meeting to present the award.
Officer Chris Blue nominated the Chamber “because of the assistance and support they have provided the Community Services Division” of the Police Department.
The Chamber is one of only 15 agencies, organizations, or individuals in the State who will receive the awards for 2001.
