SUBJECT:       Appointments to the Morgan Creek Trail Conceptual Plan Committee

 

DATE:             October 7, 2002

 

 

On May 29, 2002, the Council adopted a resolution that created the Morgan Creek Trail Conceptual Plan Committee (page 2).  Tonight, the Council may make appointments to five vacancies: two Chapel Hill residents at-large, and three Morgan Creek Trail Neighborhood representatives.

 

The following persons have been selected to serve as representatives by the various advisory boards or groups:

 

• Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board Representative (1) – Kate Millard
• Greenways Commission Representative (2) – Bill Bracey, Jim Earnhardt
• Frank Porter Graham School (1) – Meg Millard
• Morgan Creek Valley Alliance (1) – Johnny Randall
• Duke Energy (1) – Steve Small
• Management of Kingswood Apartments (1) – Tomeka Pryor
• OWASA Representative (1) – Judith Weseman

 

There are two representatives that have not yet been selected:

 

• Orange County (1)
• Town of Carrboro (1)

 

We will inform the Council when these representatives have been selected.

 

A recommendation from the Greenways Commission is attached (page 3).

 

Copies of the applications and ballots are attached.
