SUBJECT: Funding History of Human Service Agencies

The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information regarding the funding of human service agencies by the Town of Chapel Hill for the past ten years. This information was requested by the Council at the February 12 Budget Work Session.
Funding has increased from $70,050 in fiscal year 1993-94 to $196,000 this fiscal year. Since 1993-1994 the number of agencies funded has increased from 19 to 33.
Attachment 1 provides a ten-year history of funding totals along with the number of agencies receiving allocations. Attachment 2 identifies the agencies funded and amounts allocated to each agency during the past five years.
