A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO CONVEY COMMENTS TO THE ORANGE WATER AND SEWER AUTHORITY BOARD OF DIRECTORS CONCERNING A PROPOSED POLICY ON EXCESS CAPACITY CREDIT (2005-11-21/R-10)

WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Chapel Hill has requested that the Orange Water and Sewer Authority consider adopting a policy that would reimburse the Town for costs incurred for the extension of utility facilities that are required by the Orange Water and Sewer Authority to be built larger than are required for their immediate intended use; and

WHEREAS, the Orange Water and Sewer Authority is considering such a policy; and

WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Chapel Hill desires to provide the Board of Directors of the Orange Water and Sewer Authority with comments on the proposed policy;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Town Manager is authorized to convey comments to the staff and Board of Directors of the Orange Water and Sewer Authority as provided in the Town Manager’s report of November 21, 2005.
