A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE 2006 GREENWAYS COMPREHENSIVE MASTER PLAN (2006-01-09/R-1)

WHEREAS, on May 26, 1998, the Council adopted the Chapel Hill Greenways Master Plan as a component of the Town’s Comprehensive Plan; and

WHEREAS, on September 8, 2003, the Council authorized the Greenways Commission to begin work on a revised Greenways Comprehensive Master Plan; and

WHEREAS, on November 21, 2005, the Council held a Public Hearing to receive comments related to the proposed Chapel Hill Greenways Master Plan;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council adopts the 2006 Chapel Hill Greenways Comprehensive Master Plan.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council expresses its appreciation to the Greenways Commission for its work to provide many opportunities for public participation in the process to develop the 2006 plan.
