A RESOLUTION REFERRING THE THIRD PRITCHARD PARK ART GARDEN COMMITTEE’S RECOMMENDATIONS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF PRITCHARD PARK AND SALE OF LAND TO THE SIENA HOTEL TO THE MANAGER AND ADVISORY BOARDS FOR REVIEW AND COMMENT (2006-01-09/R-10)

A RESOLUTION REFERRING THE THIRD PRITCHARD PARK ART GARDEN COMMITTEE’S RECOMMENDATIONS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF PRITCHARD PARK AND SALE OF LAND TO THE SIENA HOTEL TO THE MANAGER AND ADVISORY BOARDS FOR REVIEW AND COMMENT (2006-01-09/R-10)

WHEREAS, on November 22, 2004, the Council adopted the Report of the Second Pritchard Park Art Garden Committee; and

WHEREAS, the Report recommends that the Town sell approximately 1.117 acres of property to the Siena Hotel in order to allow the hotel to expand its operations; and

WHEREAS, issues related the Town’s Resource Conservation District require a change in the plans approved by the Council in February 2005; and

WHEREAS, the Third Pritchard Park Art Garden Committee has reviewed the process for designing the park and the Siena Hotel and has made recommendations;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council refers the recommendations of the Third Pritchard Park Art Garden Committee to the Chapel Hill Public Arts Commission, Library Board, Library Building Committee, and Parks & Recreation Commission for review and comment.
