A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF AN OLD “AIRPORT ROAD” SIGN TO CHAPEL HILL MUSEUM AT A COST OF $0.00 (2006-03-27/R-9)

WHEREAS, the Chapel Hill Museum requested that the Town donate an old “Airport Road” sign to display in the Museum; and

WHEREAS, the Chapel Hill Town Council determined that displaying the sign in Museum would be public historical artifact, and as such it would benefit all citizens; and

WHEREAS, the Chapel Hill Museum would not receive monetary gain as a direct result of display or sale of the sign;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Town Manager is authorized to convey by private sale an old “Airport Road” sign to the Chapel Hill Museum at a cost of $0.00.
