A RESOLUTION TO APPOINT COUNCIL MEMBER(S) TO A STREETSCAPE COUNCIL COMMITTEE (2006-06-12/R-14)

WHEREAS, on May 22, 2005, the Council adopted a resolution authorizing the use of $100,000 - $125,000 in available Streetscape bond funds to hire an urban lighting specialist and an urban designer/landscape architect; and

WHEREAS, the Council also wanted a Council Committee formed to assist the Town Manager in the selection of a lighting specialist and urban designer/landscape architect; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council appoints Council Members Laurin Easthom, Cam Hill, Mayor pro tem Bill Strom, and Mayor Kevin Foy to assist the Town Manager in the selection of a lighting specialist and urban designer/landscape architect.
