A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MANAGER TO AMEND A CONTRACT WITH WCOM REDUCING RENTAL FEES FOR THE USE OF A TOWN LIGHT POST FOR THE STATION’S TRANSMITTER (2006-09-11/R-12)

WHEREAS, WCOM provides a beneficial public service;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Town of Chapel Hill hereby authorized the Manager to amend a contract with WCOM to reduce rental fees for the use of a Town light post for the station’s transmitter to $25 per month beginning September 11, 2006 and continuing through the term of the contract.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council requests that WCOM present the Council a plan to make its signal available to all of Chapel Hill.
