WHEREAS, on April 24, 2006 the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill approved a Plan for use of $598,309 of federal Community Development Block Grant funds; and
WHEREAS, the approved Plan includes an allocation of $120,000 to Orange Community Housing and Land Trust, in partnership with The Affordable Housing Group, for the acquisition of property for the Dobbins Hill II project to develop thirty-two affordable rental opportunities; and
WHEREAS, in order to receive low-income housing tax credits for this project, the Affordable Housing Group must be the recipient of funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council clarifies the 2006-2007 Community Development Plan as follows:
