A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND REFERRING THE CONCEPT PLAN FOR THE DRY CREEK GREENWAY TRAIL TO VARIOUS ADVISORY BOARDS, AGENCIES, AND TOWN STAFF FOR COMMENT PRIOR TO HOLDING A COUNCIL PUBLIC FORUM (2007-11-19/R-2)

WHEREAS, the Council has accepted the Concept Plan for the Dry Creek Greenway Trail; and

WHEREAS, the Council desires to receive recommendations from interested individuals, organizations, and advisory boards concerning the best alignment of the proposed trail;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council accepts the Concept Plan for the Dry Creek Greenway Trail and refers the Plan for comment and further recommendations to the:

• Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board
• Greenways Commission
• parks and recreation commission
• Transportation Board
• OWASA
• Town staff

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council authorizes the Manager to schedule a Town Council Public Forum for consideration of possible adoption of Concept Plan for the Dry Creek Greenway Trail at the conclusion of the public input process.
