Concept Plan: Wesley Foundation, at 214 Pittsboro Street

PURPOSE

 

Tonight, the Council considers a Concept Plan for the Wesley Foundation Development Proposal. A four-story building with 148 beds and 31 basement parking spaces is proposed at 214 Pittsboro Street, on the west side of Pittsboro Street, south of Cameron Avenue and north of McCauley Street and is located in the Cameron-McCauley Local Historic District.

 

The attached memorandum for the Concept Plan proposal includes background information on the Concept Plan process, the applicant’s materials, and additional related information.

 

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 4.3 of the Town’s Land Use Management Ordinance, tonight’s Concept Plan review affords Council members the opportunity to provide individual reactions to the overall concept of the development which is being contemplated for future application.  Nothing stated by individual Council members this evening can be construed as an official position or commitment on the part of a Council member with respect to the position he or she may take when and if a formal application for development is subsequently submitted and comes before the Council for formal consideration.

 

We recommend that the Council consider the Concept Plan, and adopt the attached Resolution transmitting comments to the applicant.
