Dear Sir or Madam,

 

You are receiving this letter because you currently have a monthly lease for one or more parking spaces in the Town-owned Parking Lot 4 or Lot 5 on West Rosemary Street and Church St.

 

The Town of Chapel Hill has plans to close Lot 5 to public parking in the near future prior to the construction of a new development on the site, 140 West.  The estimated construction period is approximately two years.  Lot 4 is planned to become retail parking space and therefore we will be terminating all lease agreements in this  lot.

 

We are writing to inform you that you will need to seek alternative parking.  The closure is planned to occur early in 2009, and we are trying to provide our lessees with time to search for new parking arrangements.  The Town of Chapel Hill has been in contact with local businesses to try to assist your transition, and as we receive new information for alternative parking we will share it with you (please see attached list of alternative parking sites throughout Chapel Hill) Parking Services apologizes for any inconvenience, and hopes the attached alternate parking site information will help this transition be a smooth one.
