Title of Agenda Item: Acceptance of FY2008-2009 Kutz Funds
Background: The attached staff memorandum includes background information on Kutz funds that were designated to support the Police Department’s training budget. The attached resolution and ordinance would authorize appropriation of FY2008-2009 Kutz funds in the amount of $4,500 to enhance the Police Department’s ability to investigate serious motor vehicle crashes.
Fiscal Note: The Town would appropriate $4,500 from the Kutz funds to pay for the coursework, travel, and related expenses for two officers.
Staff Recommendation(s): That the Council adopt the attached budget ordinance amendment authorizing the appropriation of the Kutz funds in the amount of $4,500.
